Photo Album #30 – Anna M. Mitchell

Photo album measures approximately 6 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. Photos are glued in, and I have carefully tried to remove some to check for information on the backs of them. Album appears to date from about 1910 to 1915. Photos are in the order they appear in the album.

Nice legible name: “Anna M. Mitchell 1910”

After researching this album, I am leaning towards Anna Moore Mitchell as the owner. Unfortunately, the writing on the inside pages is so much harder to read due to fading.

Anna Moore Mitchell b. November 23, 1892 in Linden, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. Parents were David Mitchell b. August 25, 1860 in Linden and died May 19, 1928 in East Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. Anna’s mother was Melissa “Lizzie” Burns b. January 25, 1860 in Shinimicas, Cumberland, Nova Scotia and died June 27, 1914 in Southampton, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. Anna had two brothers: John Burns Mitchell (1890 – 1951) and David Renwick Mitchell (1896 – 1934). Anna married Cecil Thomas Blenkhorn ( 1891 – 1966) on June 15, 1920, in Amherst.

Many of the photos are not labelled and are glued in to the point where I won’t even attempt to try and remove them. Hoping someone recognizes faces and locations to help add information to the photos. Enjoy!
