Photo #1 – Presentation Page
“Presented to Mrs. R. Rudolph by Her Brother Ishmael S. Baker, N. Sydney, Oct 1st, 1900”.
Research: I have found an Ishmael Seymour Baker from the Sydney area, born November 27, 1876 but I cannot find a sister married to an R. Rudolph. If anyone can find the connection, I’d love to hear back from them!
Research: “Ishmael Baker was the son of Nelson Baker and Sevilla Nauffts. Sevilla Nauffts was the sister of Hannah Nauffts who was married to Albert Baker. Ishmael had a sister Elizabeth Ann Baker born abt. 1878 which we have no information on so she may have married a Rudolph but there is just no record of this found. She would have been the Mrs. R. Rudolph, sister of Ishmael Baker, who was presented the Bible by her brother, Ishmael.”
Photo #2 – Bonds of Holy Matrimony Page
“This certifies that Albert Baker of Liscomb and Hanna Naufts of S. S. Bay (Spanish Ship Bay) were united by me in the Bonds of Holy Matrimony at Rectory, Liscomb on the thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord 1884. In presence of Margaret Baker, Larry Naufts. Signed Rev. R. Johnson”
Research: From the Presentation page’s referal to Ishmael S. Baker, I tried to find a connection to Albert Baker, but had no luck.
