This album was obtained together with the McCurdy/Archibald Bible (Family Bibles #3). Obtained in 2019, shipped from Brandon, Manitoba.
A number of photographs are unidentified and it would be wonderful if someone is able to help identify these photos.
The Bible was the family of Alexander McCurdy (1797 – 1889) and Janet (Jennet) Archibald (1803 – 1851).

Research; The name Burris is on the inside cover. Alexander McCurdy (1797 – 1889) to James Watson McCurdy (1843 – 1930) to Mary Jane McCurdy (1889 – 1963) who married Adam Dunlap Burris (1887 – 1950).

Research: Reverend Daniel McCurdy (1806 – 1873) was a brother to Alexander McCurdy (1797 – 1889). Daniel McCurdy was married to Sarah Archibald (1800 – 1870). I do not know who the young man is in the photo.

Research: The Hon. David McCurdy (1810 – 1905) was another brother of Alexander McCurdy. David McCurdy was married to Mary Archibald (1812 – 1884).

Research: Isaac McCurdy (1801 – 1880) was another brother to Alexander McCurdy. Isaac McCurdy was married to Nancy Blanchard (1803 – 1881).

Research: Alexander McCurdy had a brother James Munro McCurdy (1791 – 1871) who married Mary Parker (1811 – 1909). They had a daughter, Susan A. H. McCurdy (1852 – abt. 1900) who married James Guthrie Kerr (1844 – 1926). Could this possibly be him?

Research: Alexander and Janet McCurdy had a son, Henry McCurdy (1837 – 1890). He married Sarah Jane Cutten (abt.1843 – 1924). They had a daughter, Ida Olivia McCurdy (1865 – 1900) Ida married Ebenezer Stone Hoffman (1858 – 1941).

Research: 1) Alexander McCurdy had a sister, Mary McCurdy (1799 – 1862) married to Alexander Conkey (1792 – 1873). 2) Alexander McCurdy and Jennet (Archibald) McCurdy had a daughter, Mary Jane McCurdy (1822 – 1900) who married 1) Henry Christie Archibald (1815 – 1859) and then 2) Alexander Archibald (1812 – 1882). 3) Alexander McCurdy and Janet (Archibald) McCurdy, had a son Walter McCurdy (1840 – 1907) married to Agnes Ervin (1841 – 1917). Walter and Agnes had a daughter, Mary Jane McCurdy (1870 – 1913) married to James W. Murphy. 4) Alexander McCurdy and Janet (Archibald) McCurdy had a son, James Watson McCurdy (1843 – 1930) married to Agnes Nancy Kerr (abt.1849 – 1897). James and Agnes had a daughter, Mary Jane McCurdy (1889 – 1963) married to Adam Dunlap Burris.

Research: As in photo #33: Alexander McCurdy and Janet (Archibald) McCurdy had a son, William McCurdy (1831 – 1923) who married Mary Ervin (1832 – 1884). Mary Ervin had a sister, Ellen F. Ervin (1844 – 1919) who married Matthew Archibald Guild (1837 – 1830).
Mary and Ellen Ervin’s parents were Charles Ervin (1802 – 1885) and Ann (Kerr) Ervin (1811 – 1850). I would say this is a photo of Ellen (Ervin) Guild.

Suggestion in an email from Colin Castle: ” I believe photo number 42 in your gallery may be a photo of Alexander McCurdy’s parents, James McCurdy Sr and Agnes Nancy Archibald. I can’t say with certainty but the picture in your gallery and the picture associated with James McCurdy Sr. uploaded by another member share a distinct sloping eyebrow / forehead. And it would make sense if this was the family photos they would have a photo of mom and dad. “
